CORVERSE “The situation in Ukraine is incredibly difficult because of the continuing war. Races are played under strict security protocols, often without spectators and in areas where the risk is less. Our clubs and national teams participate in national and international tournaments. For us football is not just a game, it is hope and resistance,” he said and continued: “The Ukrainian football federation does everything it can to support players, coaches and fans, ensuring that the game thrives even in these difficult times. We have already confirmed that over 200 members of the football community have lost their lives since the large-scale war began. This includes players, coaches and other professionals, and the number continues to increase. In 2025 I expect continued growth and progress for Ukrainian football, despite the challenges we face. The situation is difficult, but our national groups, elderly and young, make a great deal of promise. We will work hard to ensure that Ukrainian football becomes stronger on the international stage.”
