Search Underway in Halkidiki: Two Women Lost While Paddleboarding – Major Operation Launched

A major search operation is currently underway to locate two women who went missing while paddleboarding in the Halkidiki region. The women were last seen Friday evening (June 20) near the coastal area of Bourbouros. Around 10 PM, a local citizen alerted the harbor authority, prompting an immediate response involving patrol boats from the harbor police and a military helicopter. Four private vessels are also assisting in the search efforts. Following a request from the Harbor Authority, the Rescue 3 vessel of the Greek Rescue Team in Halkidiki, manned by a five-member crew, has been mobilized to aid in the rescue mission.
