Seanergy Maritime Holdings Corp. successfully issued and listed a €100 million corporate bond on Euronext Athens, marking its debut on the Greek exchange. The public offering was oversubscribed by 2.03 times — reflecting strong investor demand from both institutional and private investors.
A Milestone for Seanergy and the Greek Capital Market
The bond issuance signals a new phase in Seanergy’s growth trajectory and underscores Euronext Athens’ growing role in meeting the financing needs of Greece’s maritime sector — one of the country’s most strategic and economically vital industries. By listing domestically, Seanergy brings Greek shipping companies closer to European investment capital.
Stamatis Tsantanis, Chairman and CEO of Seanergy Maritime Holdings Corp., described the transaction as a milestone — not only for the company but also for the broader Greek capital market. He emphasized the importance of support from the domestic investment community.
“This issuance is a significant milestone for Seanergy and the Greek capital market,” said Tsantanis. “We are a leading independent Greek shipping company with a strong presence in the dry bulk sector, focused on managing large-capacity Capesize vessels. We transport essential raw materials critical to global infrastructure development and international energy needs.”
He extended heartfelt thanks to the Greek investment community for its confidence in Seanergy’s strategy and long-term prospects. He also expressed gratitude to Euronext Athens and the Hellenic Capital Market Commission for their ongoing support throughout the process and their contribution to the issuance’s successful completion.
The proceeds from the bond strengthen Seanergy’s financial flexibility without diluting existing shareholders, broaden its funding base, and support the disciplined execution of its fleet expansion strategy.
