An unexpected issue was swiftly addressed, ensuring passengers traveling to Skopelos and Skiathos were not inconvenienced. As summer arrives, passenger traffic is on the rise, making it crucial to handle any issues promptly and effectively. On Tuesday (03.06.2025), a minor problem occurred with the ferry Superstar, which operates daily from Volos to Skiathos, Skopelos, and Alonnisos. Upon reaching Alonnisos, indications of high temperature in the cooling system due to a potential foreign object intrusion were detected. To avoid passenger delays, Seajets activated the Speedrunner Jet 2, stationed at the port of Mandoudi, to cover the routes from Alonnisos to Skopelos and Skiathos. The final leg from Skiathos to Volos will be handled by another company vessel, Iolkos. Seajets has demonstrated its reliability to residents and visitors of the Northern Sporades islands through modern ferry scheduling and fast connections, bringing them closer to Athens via Mandoudi and the port of Volos, reducing previous isolation. Soon, the reactivation of the Thessaloniki – Sporades route will add new momentum. Notably, the company president, Mario Heliopoulos, continues to support local athletic clubs and schools with free ticket initiatives.
