An 18-year-old is currently hospitalized on the island of Samos with a skull fracture, dislocated shoulder, and bruises all over his body after being brutally attacked early Sunday morning (June 29, 2025) outside a nightclub in Karlovasi. According to the teenager’s mother, her son had exited the club around 5:00 AM when he witnessed a group of young men harassing another youth. When he intervened to ask them to stop, they turned on him and launched a violent assault.
The victim was left bloodied on the street until emergency services arrived to transport him to the hospital. So far, police have identified three suspects involved in the attack. The boy’s mother described the horrifying incident during an emotional interview on ANT1’s ‘Proino’ show on Tuesday morning.
“He saw a group of people harassing someone else—a young man who has health issues—and he stepped in to tell them to stop. That’s when they attacked him,” she said. “Fifteen people surrounded him, knocked him down, and just kept hitting him. He was begging them to stop, and they kicked him in the face.”
She continued: “All the blows were to his face. He can barely see out of one eye, he’s dizzy, and we don’t yet know the full extent of his injuries. He has a crack right above his skull and a dislocated shoulder. Imagine seeing your child like that—lying on the ground, beaten by a mob. It looked like they wanted to kill him.”
The mother expressed her anguish and called for justice: “I don’t want anyone to hide behind masks. I pray no other mother has to cry this much for her child. This must stop. My son deserves justice.”
Authorities are continuing their investigation as more details emerge about the attackers and the events leading up to the assault.
