An 18-year-old is currently hospitalized on the island of Samos with a skull fracture, dislocated shoulder, and bruises across his body after being brutally attacked early Sunday morning (June 29, 2025) outside a nightclub in Karlovasi. According to the teenager’s mother, her son had exited the club around 5:00 AM when he witnessed a group of young people harassing a peer. When he intervened, asking them to stop because the victim had health issues, the attackers turned on him, beating him severely until he lay bloodied on the street.

The police have identified three suspects so far. Speaking on ANT1’s ‘Proini’ show on Tuesday morning, the boy’s mother described the horrifying incident: ‘He was taken to Samos General Hospital with a fractured skull and dislocated shoulder after my child was attacked outside the club in Karlovasi. Around 15 people surrounded him, hitting and kicking him non-stop even as he pleaded for mercy.’

She added, ‘He told them to stop, but they kept kicking him. All the blows were to his face. We’ve been at the hospital since yesterday. He can’t see clearly from one eye and feels dizzy. He has a crack right above his skull. Imagine your child being thrown to the ground, dislocated shoulder, and beaten by 15 people. It’s unbearable. I don’t want another mother to cry like me. This shows they wanted to kill him. I demand justice.’

The case has sparked outrage among locals and calls for stronger action against youth violence.
