Salamina: 45-Year-Old Arrested for Child Abuse and Attempted Rape

A 45-year-old man was located and arrested in Salamina. He had been sought as a fugitive from justice for the abuse of a minor and an attempted rape incident. The man, who was arrested in Salamina, had previously been sentenced to seven years in prison for the crime of abusing a minor. Additionally, there was an outstanding arrest warrant against him for attempted rape. Specifically, in the first case, the 45-year-old is accused of committing indecent acts against a 12-year-old girl on May 30, 2024, in Syros, for which he received a seven-year prison sentence. In the second case, he is charged with attempting to rape a young woman inside his home in Hermoupolis, Syros, on September 21, 2024. The victim resisted and managed to escape. The suspect was later presented before the competent prosecutor.
