Ruxi Dumitresku: Her funeral in Romania with Panathinaikos and National Greece jerseys

In a climate of deep distress it took place on Wednesday morning (06.03.2024) in the city of Govora, Romania, the iconic leader of his volleyball team, Ruxi Dumitrescu, who left life early a few 24 hours ago. Friends, relatives and ordinary fans were found at Ruxi’s funeral Dumitreskou, to say the last “good-bye” to the great form of women’s volleyball and Panathinaikos. We recall that the 46-year-old “ left” life from heart attack, having smelled with her presence the Greek volleyball competing with the Panathinaikos and Greek national jersey, with which she competed at the 2004 Olympic Games. As reported by Romania’s Media, Ruxi Dumitresku was buried – at the time of heaven… crying – with the jerseys she wore in her great career. The blue-white of National Greece with the number 18, but also the green of Panathinaikos with the number 9. Let us mention that next weekend, in all volleyball games in Romania, a minute of silence will be held in memory of Dumitrescu, who leaves behind a 14-year-old son, who acquired with the Greek Olympian, Alexander Nikolaides, who “went away” also from life after a “fight” with cancer. In fact, a photograph of the two of them, with their son, appeared, along with others from her athletic course in Greece, but also from her life in Athens.
