Russian Drone Attack on Odessa Causes Power Supply Issues

A Russian drone attack on Monday (03/03/2025) caused damage to energy infrastructure in the Black Sea region. The Russian assault on Odessa resulted in power outages across the city and disruptions to heating systems, according to local officials. In a Telegram post, Governor Oleg Kiper stated, “A bombardment damaged energy infrastructure.” He added that there are currently power outages in parts of the city. Mayor of Odessa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, highlighted that the attack incapacitated three pumping stations, prompting authorities to seek alternative energy sources to restore heating for residents.
