Russia: Unvaccinated people will have limited options for work

The Kremlin said today that those who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 or who do not have immunity will not be able to work in all workplaces in Russia and that they may be discriminated against.

President Vladimir Putin warned yesterday that the coronavirus situation in some parts of Russia was deteriorating as authorities began promoting the idea of regular vaccinations to try to stem the rise of new cases.

Authorities are trying to persuade and force citizens to be vaccinated, offering those who are immunized the opportunity to win new cars and apartments, while warning those who deny that they risk losing revenue and being fired.

Russia has approved four home-made vaccines and has sold its main ingredient, Sputnik V, to many foreign countries.
