Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, commented today (16.01.2020) on the statements made yesterday (15.01.2025) by the Polish Prime Minister, who argued that it is preparing actions in the air against western countries on commercial flights to the US. The Russian official described Donald Tusk’s allegations as “totally unruly” and refused to comment on Bloomberg’s information on limited talks between Russia and Ukraine in Qatar to protect nuclear installations from attacks. CORVERSE Tusk made this claim after meeting Ukrainian president, Volontir Zelensky, apparently referring to packages exploded in supply depots in Europe and for which Western security agencies officials said they were joining the test of a Russian plan to cause explosions in airplane trucks to the US. “ These are completely unruly allegations against Russia, ” Peskov told reporters when asked about Tusk’s statement. “Poland is known to make such accusations,” he added. The Kremlin spokesman also said that Russia welcomes any settlement leading to security in Gaza, following the announcement of an agreement between Israel and Hamas on ceasefire and the release of hostages. Peskov also announced today that Russia is ready to supply gas to Transnistria, which is faced with an energy crisis, resulting in this split region from Moldova facing blackouts and lack of heating. Transnistria, which seceded from Moldova after the collapse of the Soviet Union, was based on Russian gas received through Ukraine. The Ukrainian authorities refused to extend for 2025 the validity of an agreement on transit of Russian gas.
