Russia on Cuba’s side: Huge humanitarian aid package

Russia is sending more than 41.5 tons of humanitarian aid to Cuba, which is being tested by the US embargo.

The “island of the Revolution” is going through difficult times as its economic “strangulation” from the USA intensifies, with Moscow sending a large aid package that includes flour, wheat, meat, and dairy products, according to press sources.

In July, the Russian Air Force sent two An-124 aircraft to Cuba with more than 88 tonnes of food, personal protective equipment, and more than a million medical masks.

In Havana, the arrival of the Russian plane was welcomed by a government delegation led by Vice President Salvador Valdes Mesa.
