Mystery so far covers the launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) from Russia against its city of Dnipro, as a western official noted it is not an ICBM. However, if Ukraine’s claim is confirmed then it will be the first historically recorded case of the use of an ICBM by the and indeed not by nuclear but by conventional warheads. Western official who spoke to ABC News information network and is invoked by Sky News, disagrees with Ukrainians’ claim and stressed that the attack was made by another type’s ballistic missile, not by ICBM, effectively challenging the Ukrainian Air Force. It is noted that the Western official made these statements on the margins of the Summit of Ministers of Defence of the Southeast Asian Union (ASEAN) held in Laos, even involved by American Defence Minister Lloyd Austin, with his staff. Earlier today, the Ukrainian media Ukrainska Pravda, citing anonymous sources, reported that the alleged intercontinental missile launched by Russia was RS-26 Rubezh. According to the Armament Control Association, RS-26 Rubezh has a range of 5,800 km and has developed on the basis of the older Topol-M-type ICBM. In new footage from the alleged ICBM attack on Dnipro, published by Clash Report, multiple rockets are captured falling to the ground, without however causing corresponding explosions. 🚨🇷🇺🇺🇦 MORE FOTAGE OF RUSSIAN STRIKE ON UKRAINE The attack on Dnipro was the first time in the war that Russia used a non-nuclear intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) on Ukraine. — Mario Nawfal (@MarioNawfal) Dnipro Mayor Boris Filatov said the attack caused damage to a rehabilitation centre, in which the windows broke and a boiler room was destroyed. This village is located about five kilometres south of Kurahovo. Source: onalert.gr
