In response to the impressive attack carried out yesterday (03.06.2025) by Ukraine, which involved an explosion targeting underwater supports of the Crimea Bridge, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov commented today (04.06.2025). The Russian official also addressed the possibility of new rounds of peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. “Clearly, it will take some time to examine the draft memorandums that have been exchanged,” Peskov stated. “When both sides are ready, they will agree on dates for the next round,” he added. Peskov confirmed that Ukraine attacked the Crimea Bridge, noting that while an explosion occurred, there was no damage reported, and the bridge remains operational. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) announced that agents had successfully planted explosives underwater in a months-long operation. In related news, Ukraine has been invited to attend the NATO summit in The Hague, scheduled for the coming weeks. NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte emphasized that allies plan to expand deterrence and defense capabilities with ambitious goals. These include air and missile defense, long-range weapons, and significant land formations among top priorities. Rutte also highlighted the U.S.’ commitment to NATO, urging Europe and Canada to increase defense spending.
