Rhodes: Without active front the fire in the Maritsa forest

After heroic attempts by firefighters, it was extinguished or erupted in its forest on Monday morning (16.09.2024). The fire occurred in the forest in Maritsa, Rhodes, with firefighting forces being informed and rushed directly to the site. In particular, 65 firefighters with 2 groups of hikers and 22 vehicles attempted. From the air they attempted 5 aircraft and 5 helicopters. For the large extent of the fire, 112 of the area’s residents were also alert. Activation 1 The fire didn’t burn properties.
