In a statement broadcast by Iranian state television, the IRGC asserted that the facility plays a significant role in intelligence collection for the U.S. military. ‘Iranian military forces targeted and destroyed a building belonging to the American company Amazon’s data center in Bahrain, which serves a critical function in gathering intelligence for the U.S. armed forces,’ the statement read.

Neither Amazon — the global e-commerce and cloud services giant — nor Bahraini authorities have publicly confirmed or commented on the claim as of this reporting.
Iran’s Legal Justification
Iran maintains that any infrastructure made available to the U.S. military for conducting strikes against Iranian territory is considered a legitimate military target under its interpretation of international law.

This is not the first time the IRGC has claimed an attack on an Amazon facility in Bahrain. Earlier strikes attributed to Iranian forces reportedly targeted the same data center, though those claims were never independently verified.
