Renee Zellweger Joins the Cast of Season 5 of ‘Only Murders in the Building’

The popular Hulu series, ‘Only Murders in the Building,’ is adding even more star power to its fifth season with the addition of two-time Oscar winner Renee Zellweger. Production for the new season began this week in New York, according to Deadline. Alongside Zellweger, Christoph Waltz, Tea Leoni, and Kieran-Michael Key will also make appearances. As usual, details about storylines and new characters are being kept tightly under wraps. Beloved mainstays Martin Short, Steve Martin, Selena Gomez, and executive producer John Hoffman will reunite to solve a fresh mystery. Last month, the show won its first SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Comedy Series, with Martin Short also receiving recognition for his performance. It’s worth noting that Renee Zellweger made her TV debut in Netflix’s social thriller ‘What/If’ in 2019 and followed it up with NBC’s ‘The Thing About Pam’ in 2022.
