Regions Exempt from ENFIA Property Tax in 2025

On March 24, 2025, the Ministry of Finance officially announced the regions where properties are exempt from paying the Unified Real Estate Ownership Tax (ENFIA) for the year 2025. Specifically, property owners in the following areas are exempt: A) In the Regional Units of Larissa, Trikala, and Karditsa in Thessaly, Pieria in Central Macedonia, Grevena and Kozani in Western Macedonia, and Fthiotida in Sterea Ellada, which were affected by the earthquake on March 3, 2021, as defined by the relevant ministerial decisions and classified as either dangerous or unsuitable for use or dangerously unstable. B) Within the administrative boundaries of the Municipalities of Mantoudi – Limni – Agia Anna and Istiaia – Edipsos in the Regional Unit of Evia in Sterea Ellada, which were impacted by fires on July 27, 2021. C) Within the settlement of Anargyros in the Municipality of Amyntaio in the Regional Unit of Florina in Western Macedonia, which has been declared under compulsory expropriation. D) In the Communities of Peponia, Polylakkou, settlements of Axiochastri, Klematos, Trapezitsa, Panaretou, and Pylorou in the Municipality of Voio in the Regional Unit of Kozani in Western Macedonia, which are considered inactive urban settlements. E) In the Community of Kalamitsiou, settlements of Kalohori and Mesolakkou in the Regional Unit of Grevena in Western Macedonia, based on a decision regarding the transfer of these communities and settlements. These exemptions are part of a legislative regulation currently being promoted for immediate approval in Parliament.
