Reconstitution in government after 12 February: All changes and stills

With the aim of replacing persons whose name is linked to the Tempe case, the recommendations to the government form are increasing immediately, and yet before the political initiatives promoted by the opposition on the issue, in Parliament, towards the end of February. Since 12 February, the election of the President of the Republic by Parliament, and then, opens the way for Kyriakos Mitsotakis to launch a reshuffle and changes to both the Cabinet and the Maximos Palace, thus marking a restart of the government. CORVERSE Since the pre-daily discussion on the tragedy of the Tempes will be launched after the National Technical University – which is expected by the end of the month – and the proposal of disbelief to the government, on the initiative of PASOK, is estimated that Kyriakos Mitsotakis would want to come to Parliament without persons who have been at the centre of criticism for their handling of the tragedy of the Tempes. The climate, moreover, is expected to be even more charged, as on February 28, two years after the train accident in Tempe, in which 57 people died, in the majority of their young children. Changes in the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure In this light, it is considered highly likely by the end of February that the leadership of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, which is expected to be broken in two. CORVERSE At Maximos Palace, there is strong dissatisfaction with current minister Christos Staikora for two reasons. Firstly, because he has avoided “coming forward” on the issue of Tempes and secondly on the delays in his portfolio and the problems that continue to exist in transport in Athens and Thessaloniki. Who could be chosen to replace Mr. Staikouras is a difficult “whistle”, as it is the most “electric chair” right now. A heavy climate for Ch. Triantopoulos Before leaving the government scheme, the Deputy Minister for Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Christos Triantopoulos, who receives “shoots” and inside the ND, is estimated to be on the way to the management from the next day of the tragedy, as responsible for coordinating and monitoring actions and actions “in the field”, in Tempi. Changes in ‘dog’ The second ministry in which there is expected to be a change of “skytalis” is the Ministry of Environment and Energy, as Theodore Skylakis has dilated at the Maximos Mansion that, for personal reasons, he would like to leave. In this case, possible replacements are considered to be the Deputy Minister of Ministry, Alexandra Sdoukou, and the names of the Minister of State, Makis Voridis, as well as Stavros Papastavros, are reportedly discussed. A change of “dog” is also expected in the Ministry of Migration Policy. For the position of Nikos Panagiotopoulos the name of the Minister of Civil Protection and Climate Change, Vasilis Kikilia, who has allegedly expressed a desire to change portfolio, is heard. Reshuffle in Maximus? A key role in the reconstruction will be played by George Gerapetritis’ move from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and his return to Maximos Mansion. In this case, “caramboles” will emerge that will lead to wide changes in the government scheme. As potential successors of G.Gerapetritis in the reins of Greek diplomacy, they are considered the current Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maria Papadopoulou, the Minister of Finance, Kostis Hatzidakis and former Commissioner and Vice-President of the Commission, Margaritis Schinas. The unmoved In Maximos Palace are considered to be the Government Representative, Paul Marinakis, the Deputy Minister in spite of the Prime Minister, George Mylonakis, while the Minister of State, Makis Voridis, is estimated to be able to take over the years of a pivotal ministry. The Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiades, who was at the heart of criticism of the wrong messages he sent with reports to the families of the victims of the Tempes tragedy, initially caused great dissatisfaction at the Maximos Mansion. However, after the meeting he allegedly had with the prime minister this weekend, the issue is considered to be over. The Minister of Culture, Lina Mendoni, is reportedly still in a constant position, which has a central role in the return of the Parthenon sculptors. There is a question mark on whether the Minister of Shipping, Christos Stylianidis, will remain in his position, who allegedly wishes to return to Cyprus and take part in the procedures for the next presidential election. Changes in the undersecretaries of Sartic are expected to be changes at the level of deputy ministers, with the aim of using ND MPs who have not yet had the opportunity to participate in the government.
