The Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAAEU) is set to provide consumers with a wide range of tools aimed at helping them navigate the complexities of today’s energy market. The RAAEU website already hosts comparison tools for electricity and natural gas prices, an Energy Mediator service to resolve disputes between consumers and suppliers, maps showing prices across Europe, detailed information about the domestic market, and charging costs for electric vehicles. Now, President Ath. Dagoumas has announced the addition of a one-stop service for energy-saving solutions. Currently, the authority offers an energy-saving guide to help citizens make informed decisions, but it aims to go further by creating a full-fledged marketplace. Consumers will be able to enter their consumption and building data into a digital platform and automatically receive offers from companies specializing in energy services (ESCOs). They can then choose the most suitable offer. This initiative seeks to connect consumers with service providers and remove barriers for those wishing to invest in better insulation or equipment upgrades. The tool is expected to launch by the end of this month, with strong interest from businesses. It will be especially useful given the seven state-funded energy-saving programs currently offering significant subsidies.
