the Θεσπωτίας proposed to be integrated into the Ecological Network Natura 2000 calls for the Claus Γιόγιακας with a Question and a Request for the Filing of Documents addressed to the Minister of Environment and Energy. The mp ΘεσπÏωτιάς referred to in a letter of the Municipality Igoumenitsa, of which it appears that the designation of new Natura 2000 areas was made in absentia of the local αυτοδιοκητικών Authorities, and may impede the implementation of significant investments in Sivota and Perdika.

To the Minister of Environment and Energy
THEME: “Integration areas of the Municipality of Igoumenitsa in the Ecological Network Natura 2000”
On the website of the Ministry of Environment and Energy (section Public Consultation) proposed 100 new areas for inclusion in the European Ecological Network Natura 2000. In the text it is stated that the proposal arose following an evaluation of our country by the European Commission according to which the Network needs to be supplemented with new areas to cover with adequate protection of habitat types and species of community interest. It is also noted that the proposals, extensions to existing areas and new areas, were based on “a study funded by the NSRF (ΕΠΠΕΡΑΑ – project supervision) and other evidence-based studies and using appropriate criteria”.
In the proposed new areas (Special area of Conservation) belongs to the wider marine region of the Southern Corfu and the Islands of Paxos and Antipaxos, to the town of Parga and the Mytikas (map ΣΥÎ7) which includes the sea area from Platariá up to the limits of the Municipality of Igoumenitsa Municipality of Parga, including Sivota and Perdika, which are centres of economic activity and areas of high tourism development. With a document to the Minister and the Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy (art. Ref. 16945/22-7-2016 the Municipality of Igoumenitsa expresses its complete disagreement with the inclusion of the above regions of Thesprotia in the Natura 2000 Network because it will operate to inhibit the implementation of investments such as the creation of a tourist shelter in Sivota and Perdika, and the design of a diving park in Sivota. To this end, it invokes the relevant experience from existing areas of the Network in the Municipality of Igoumenitsa (Delta Kalamas river and Marsh Καλοδικίου). In the epilogue of the letter stated that the boundaries of the new region is not clear how that is reflected on the map ΣΥÎ7 and suggested that the definition of happened by default of the local local government Authority and other representatives of the local community.
After that
asked the Minister:
– If and how they had alerted the concerned Municipalities for the beginning and end of the possibility for the submission of comments on the website of the Ministry,
– If the addition especially of the new Special Areas of Conservation in the Table of Protected Areas.3937/2011 about amending the law and, if so, when is expected to be filed,
and I request as submitted with the following documents:
– The Study 1 of the project supervision, which was funded by the ΕΠΠΕΡΑΑ as well as the other studies which substantiated the choice of the new area on the map ΣΥÎ7.
– Analytical and digitized map of the proposed new Special Area of Conservation (E.D.(G.) the map ΣΥÎ7.
– List of Municipalities and other local bodies of Jharkhand who submitted comments through the process set by the Ministry of Environment and Energy on its website.
