Put the bars in the Athens Metro, that will operate the new system

Quietly and practically for the last few days has started the placement of barriers in the Metro stations in the context of the application of… E-Ticket in Athens.
Today in the morning the ypodomes.com it was found at the station ATTIKI and secured for you a few photos from the installation of door security.

The bars as you can see is the station of the Line 1 in the direction towards Kifissia. It is relatively low-but when will operate between the bulky machinery, there will be glass doors that will arrive in approximately 1,70 height.
The ports to open should the passenger to mount the ticket or smart card at a special point which exists in front of each machine to be able to enter the Metro network.
To do this you either need a card (like credit cards) to be “charged” with money which will be removed, or it will recognize if it is a card travelcard weekly, monthly or longer duration.

In the event that not one of the above ports will not open, while it will be impossible to pass the would-be passenger into the network, as well as next to the machines there will be raised obstacles. With the same system as the passenger exits the Metro network on presentation of the card or ticket to be able to come out of the station.
The “bars” will recognize and simple paper tickets (which will differ from what we use today) you will want to use the passengers that do not use the transport network of Athens.
In this way, the OASA’s and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport consider that will solve effectively the phenomena of εισιτηριοδιαφυγής and will be able to have access to statistics which, up until today, it is impossible to have.
In the transports of Athens it is estimated that a very large percentage of passengers using means of transport or with a reduced fare (pupils, students, max of 65, etc.) either with a zero ticket (unemployed etc.) but without this percentage to be verified, and especially without knowing the OASA what it costs.

With the application of “smart” e-ticket will be able for the first time to become cost of “free” and reduced costs through the boarding pass that contains the memory chip and it will record the movements and in this way you will be able OASA to calculate and charge, respectively (the Ministry of Labour or other bodies) and to claim the money from the social policy, as indeed is almost all of Europe.
Also for the first time, it will be accurate, reliable data on the movement of the stations, the passengers and the revenue and will help the OECD in the design of services, but also to see who needs aid, but also in the design of ads at stations and for use in commercial activities.
