Two men, aged 36 and 43, were arrested in Menidi following a police chase. The suspects, accused of multiple thefts across various areas of Athens, were apprehended on Saturday morning (22.03.25) when police officers from the DIAS team noticed them driving suspiciously. When signaled to stop, the suspects accelerated, parked their vehicle abruptly, and attempted to flee on foot. However, the police pursued them and eventually detained them. They were taken to the Department for the Pursuit and Investigation of Organized Crime for preliminary questioning. Following an investigation, the two men were identified as responsible for a robbery against a pedestrian in Ano Liosia and three attempted burglaries in Nea Faliro and Ano Liosia. The suspects have been handed over to the competent prosecutor.
