A new Pulse opinion poll, presented on Thursday evening (9 July 2026) by SKAI, shows New Democracy (ND) leading decisively with 30% support among respondents — more than double the share of Alexis Tsipras’s newly formed party, ELAS, which stands at 17%. PASOK follows in third place with 11.5%, while Maria Karystiannou’s ‘Hope for Democracy’ trails closely at 8.5%.

Consistent with Earlier MRB Findings

The Pulse results align closely with earlier polling released the same day by MRB, which placed ND at 29% and gave it an 11.4-point lead over ELAS.

Mitsotakis Seen as Most Suitable Prime Minister

When asked who would be the most suitable prime minister, 30% of respondents named Kyriakos Mitsotakis — the same percentage as ND’s overall support — significantly ahead of Alexis Tsipras, who received 17%.

Public Skepticism Toward New Samaras-Led Party

A large majority — 64% — said they would not vote for a new party led by former Prime Minister Antonis Samaras.

The survey was conducted nationwide between 3 and 7 July 2026, with a representative sample of 1,126 Greek citizens.
