in

A new protest over the Temp train disaster is taking place today (07.03.2025) in central Athens, organized by students and university attendees demanding justice for the victims and their families. The event is scheduled to start at 10:00 AM at the Propylaea, with a large number of students gathering throughout Syntagma Square to voice their concerns about the tragic incident. Later in the evening, at 7:00 PM, labor unions will also hold another demonstration in the city center for the same cause. Due to these dual protests, both Syntagma and University metro stations will remain closed from morning, with trains passing through but not stopping. These stations will reopen after the protests conclude. Additional protests are expected during the day in Thessaloniki and other major cities.
