President of the Republic, reshuffle and everyday life the government’s “bets” for 2025

His government has been working again since Christmas and New Year’s celebrations, with the challenges of 2025 being open to it. One of the political loose ends to be launched in the next few days by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is the election of President of the Republic. CORVERSE Within the next ten days Kyriakos Mitsotakis is expected to announce his decision on the person he will propose for the high state office, to then begin voting in the Parliament. On the basis of the Constitution (Article 32), the election of the President of the Republic by the Parliament begins at least one month before the end of the term of office of the President-in-Office of the Republic (expires 13 March) and is scheduled for up to five votes to come out “white smoke”. The inauguration is placed on 13 March and then opens the way for the “second challenge”, the reshuffle of the government scheme. TRANSPARENCY Reconstitution The restructuring of the ministerial scheme is placed after the election of the President of the Republic and is a key political bet. It is launched in the middle of the government’s term, with “heavy” campaign agenda remaining to be implemented. The changes – whether they will be notable or broader – and the persons who will staff the new government scheme, will also mark the fields in which the Maximus Mansion will emphasize until the national elections. Daily The government staff are firmly convinced that election performance will be judged by addressing the major problems of everyday life. Accuracy, housing problem – high rents, unprofitable cost of living, health, safety issues, education are some of the “anchovies” with which society is faced daily. The mandate for ministers is to “run” at the most intensive rates, using all the means available to them, actions and reforms that have a positive impression on citizens, facilitating their everyday life. The biggest burden falls on the backs of the Ministry of Finance and Minister Kostis Hatzidakis, who must continue the “marathon struggle” to harness tax evasion, in order to generate new revenue that will allow the Prime Minister at the end of 2025 to proceed with new tax cuts that will relieve citizens and the middle class. A ‘act of justice’, as some officials point out, since it is the most… unfair order in terms of burden and at the same time the one that judges the election result.
