Premia Properties has announced a major strategic investment in the Greek hospitality sector, entering into a partnership with Akti Hotels & Resorts — a long-established hotel group operating premium properties on Rhodes and Kos. The deal includes a capital contribution to Akti’s shareholding structure and a comprehensive modernization program for three hotels: Akti Imperial, Akti Beach Club, and Akti Palace.

Scale and Scope of the Investment

Collectively, the three hotels comprise 1,316 rooms and span a total built area of 85,000 square meters across 300 stremmata (approximately 30 hectares) of prime coastal land. All properties are located in exceptional seaside locations and have operated successfully for more than two decades.

The full agreement is expected to be finalized by the end of 2026. Including renovation costs, the total investment is projected to exceed €250 million. The refurbishment program is scheduled for completion by May 2028.

Operational Continuity and Strategic Vision

Akti Hotels & Resorts will retain operational control of the properties, ensuring continuity in management and service standards. Both companies’ leadership teams welcomed the collaboration, highlighting shared commitments to innovation, quality, and long-term value creation for Greece’s economy and society.

Elias Georgiadis, CEO of Sterner Stenhus and Chairman of Premia, stated: “Signing this agreement with Akti Hotels forms part of Premia’s growth strategy to surpass 4,500 hotel rooms within the next two years.”

Kostas Markazos, CEO of Premia, added: “This agreement continues our targeted approach to hospitality investments — strengthening Premia’s financial position and profitability, while upgrading the quality and competitiveness of our portfolio.”

Nikolaos Koutras, CEO of Akti Hotels & Resorts, emphasized: “The partnership between Premia Properties — a real estate specialist — and Akti, with its proven expertise in hotel operations and management, marks a significant milestone for Greece’s tourism industry. We expect strong synergies from combining both parties’ expertise to develop modern, high-quality tourism infrastructure.”
