Pre-Investigation Committee for Christos Triantopoulos Begins in Tempi

The Pre-Investigation Committee regarding Christos Triantopoulos concerning the tragic accident in Tempi has commenced today. The first session of the Pre-Investigation was held under the chairmanship of Parliament President Nikitas Kaklamanis. This initial meeting exclusively aimed to elect a presidium, and the majority’s proposal prevailed with 14 votes in favor and 13 abstentions from opposition parties. Thus, Panagis Kappatos was appointed as the Committee’s president. At the same time, Maria Kefala was designated as vice-president, and Alexandros Markogiannakis as secretary. PASOK, SYRIZA, New Left, and Freedom Sail requested proportional representation within the presidium. The next step for the Committee will be to establish a list of witnesses. Members include representatives from various political parties, such as ND, PASOK, SYRIZA, KKE, Greek Solution, New Left, NIKI, and Freedom Sail.
