Political Parties React to the Preliminary Inquiry for Tempi: SYRIZA, New Left vs ND and Triantopoulos

A joint statement of protest was signed by SYRIZA, New Left, and independent MP Athina Linou. They filed it today (04.04.2025) against the preliminary inquiry committee’s proceedings. The parties argue that they cannot submit a conclusive report due to the majority’s method of avoiding the core issues. The KKE chose not to participate to avoid legitimizing the process. Greek Solution expressed strong disagreement with government methods and requested the case be referred back to the preparatory committee. The Niki party stated that the entire procedure highlights an ongoing cover-up of crimes against Greek citizens, institutions, and justice. Members of SYRIZA, New Left, and Athina Linou further commented outside Parliament, emphasizing their commitment to exposing the truth and holding accountable those responsible for the Tempi tragedy.
