Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandra Papadopoulou and Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Burak Aktsapar held a regular political dialogue meeting in Ankara between Ankara and . As stated in a joint statement, following the conclusion of the political dialogue between Greece and Turkey, the two sides reiterated their joint commitment to take advantage of the existing positive atmosphere, according to the Athens Declaration signed last December by the leaders of the two countries, exploring additional areas of bilateral and international cooperation. They also assessed the preparations for the forthcoming visit by Prime Minister Mitsotakis to Turkey in May and took stock of the progress made so far in the existing dialogue channels, covering all aspects of the bilateral relationship. In addition to the various aspects of bilateral relations, regional and international issues were discussed.
