Police officer was operated on appendicitis and a year later he was told he had cancer – filed a lawsuit

A lawsuit against all responsible testified a 55-year-old from her undergoing appendicitis surgery at 424 Military Hospital and a year later she fights for his life, as she was informed she was diagnosed with cancer. In the lawsuit he filed with the General Court of Thessaloniki for exposure resulting in heavy physical harm, two doctors are named, while at the same time he is asked to have an EDE in hospital for any other cases. According to voria.gr, after abdominal pains during service in December 2022, the police officer went to GSN 424, where they informed him it was acute appendicitis and immediately underwent surgery. As his lawyers describe, a year later, a hospital doctor called him and asked him to be found to speak. Then he was informed that the results of the biopsy came out – a year later – and the diagnosis was adenocarcinoma. The patient has since undergone two other surgeries, however the cancer had also advanced to other organs, with his health condition now being very serious. He is reportedly unable to operate and puts his hopes in chemo. As described in the press release, when he and his relatives asked why the results were so late and valuable time was lost, they did not get a clear answer. “I fight for my life,” he said by submitting himself outside the court-martial.
