Pirelli calendar 2025: Back to the human body

With the title “Renewal and Revelation”, 51 the publication of its Calendar extends again the imagination of people like a tire, again adopting a sensual approach and seeking the beauty revealed through the human body. The Pirelli 2025 Calendar was photographed on the historic beaches of Virginia Key Beach Park in Miami and in a studio set up on the spot, with the cast including actors, artists, singers and models of different ages and nationalities. Having attended some of Pirelli’s Calendar presentations in the past, and speaking with famous models such as Naomi Campbell and Gigi Hadid, what I always had in mind was that Pirelli as a classic Italian company would stay in these challenging portraits adorning the walls of thousands of workshops around the world. However, the Calendar “came out” and environmental concerns, entered the banned city of China, and followed a different approach from previous years. And this, perhaps, was something that disappointed many friends of the “pretty” or artistic nude. However, the Pirelli 2025 Diary comes to compensate those who have been disappointed in recent years, not so much with harsh names like Sophia Lauren, Penelope Cruz, Elena Kristensen, Cindy Crawford, Kate Moss and so many others who have won its pages over the years, but with fresher names and men! In 51 the publication of the Calendar will find 24 photographs entitled “Renewal and Revelation, ” depicting 12 persons, each in a color and a black and white shot. Among the names are American actress, model and activist Hunter Schafer, Indian American presenter and writer Padma Lakshmi, French actor Vincent Cassel, Italian singer, actress and model Elodie, British actress Simone Ashley, South Korean actress Hoyeon, British actress Jodie Turner -Smith, American artist Martine Gutierrez, American fashion model and iconographer Co nnie Fleming, British actor John Boyega, and American model Jenny Shimizu (who had also participated in Avedon’s 1997 diary). In 12 the person is his photographer, Green, the third to appear on the cast, after Prince Gyasi in 2024 and Bryan Adams in 2022. It is worth noting that Pirelli’s Diary began in 1964 with Robert Freeman, a photographer of Beetles. However, there were years that were not published, like 1967, at the time of the oil crisis (1975-1983), and 2021 with the coronavirus pandemic. From 1964 to 2025, with some holidays during the years, 40 photographers have created 51 Pirelli Calendars.
