A video presented by Live News on June 24, 2025, reveals a shocking incident at a cosmetics store in Piraeus. The footage shows three young children calmly approaching the cash register, opening it, taking the money, and walking out without anyone noticing. At the time of the robbery, the cashier was absent from her post, and other employees did not see what happened due to their positions. According to the report, all three children are Roma and acted swiftly to exploit the lack of supervision. The video captured by a security camera shows two children holding hands while the third follows behind. Once they confirm the coast is clear, one child opens the register with ease, grabs the cash, places it in their pocket, and then walks away casually with the others. Witnesses only realized the theft after reviewing the security footage. The heist occurred during a shift change when the register was unattended. An employee recounted how she briefly left her position to attend to her supervisor’s request, giving the children the opportunity to enter unnoticed, open the register, and take the money. Days later, the same children were seen outside mocking a new employee. Despite providing the video evidence to police, the perpetrators remain at large.
