During the nightmares that lived when the minors, arrested by her, invaded their home in Piraeus to steal from them, describe in the newsit.gr two victims. Police arrested three 14-year-old Roma while looking for a 17-year-old and four parents of juvenile robbers for neglecting juvenile surveillance. The minor perpetrators invaded the homes with their facial features uncovered and with the threat of knives and an airgun threatened their usual elderly victims, while several times hit them, in order to seize their poor economies. CORVERSE As the victims themselves state, the robbers chose homes that at the time were mainly in women. On two occasions, however, it seems that the Roma minors had not anticipated very well what they would meet and found them a little harder than they had estimated. “It took a strong hold of my two arms that still have bruises” “I had left the window open for a while and television was playing but I was in another room. My house is elevated ground floor and they saw that the room is without any of us and they came in from there they took the phone, a ring and one stayed in the bedroom looking and the other progresses towards the rest of the house” tells newssit.gr the woman who confronted the one robber inside the New Year’s Eve house. According to what he states, the moment he faced the robber he did not realize exactly what was going on but in seconds he understood and began calling for help with all the power he had. CORVERSE “At that time I was in the hallway and I saw him while I was spreading clothes. He was black and he when he saw me started running towards the kitchen and I called for help,” he says. The moments that followed for the unfortunate woman were truly shocking. “Then it silenced my mouth not to be heard and took a strong hold on my two arms that I still have bruises. He was trying to throw me down and I was pushed with my feet against the door so he wouldn’t throw me down,” says the robbery victim. The woman was lucky in her misfortune because her son was at home sleeping in the next room, but listening to his mother shouted up and managed to help her. “Then my son heard my voices and came in there, caught him by the hands and released me so I was able to call the police. They were beaten up and fell on the floor in the kitchen while fighting at first. Then his thief slipped and escaped from the hallway and went out the bedroom window again but there he caught his hands again. They fell down again and then threw him away, jumped out the window and dropped the pots and from the outside the other one was heard waiting for him and said “Come on, let’s go”, says the elderly. But this incident was not the only reason others followed and this time the targets for Roma minors were again in the same area. Their action had a recurring pattern as they entered homes mostly inhabited by elderly women. “I was threatened and told ‘the money, the money’” Another elderly lady who became a target and she for the juvenile bandits speaking in newssit.gr describes the moment when the ruthless perpetrators entered her home while eating, threatened her with scissors, tied her mouth and took away her entire pension. “On New Year’s Eve two young people joined me and were around one noon where I ate at the time. My kitchen is on the balcony and they crawled in at that moment. From their haste they passed through the screen I had and took my scissors in an obvious place and threatened me by saying “the money, the money”. They tied my mouth and nose well with dirty cloth that smelled a lot and I almost shut up, I couldn’t breathe,” he says. “I was thrown all over the house because they couldn’t find money and told me where you had the money, I got scared and showed them where I was retiring. They took the money and left,” he concludes, noting that he was so frightened by the invasion of the bandits inside the house that he still remains shocked.
