Piraeus: Fire Breaks Out in Abandoned Building – Strong Firefighting Efforts Deployed

An emergency call was made early Thursday morning (27.03.25) to the Fire Brigade regarding a fire in an abandoned building located on Kolokotroni Street in Piraeus. The fire erupted under currently unknown circumstances. A total of 20 firefighters, equipped with five vehicles and a specialized articulated arm vehicle, were deployed to the scene. According to the Fire Brigade’s official statement, no individuals were present inside the building at the time the fire broke out. By around 11:30 AM, the fire was brought under control. This incident highlights the swift response and effectiveness of firefighting teams in handling such emergencies.
