The Piraeus Administration and the representative Workers’ Association (SETP) signed a two-year business signing, sealing the dialogue that preceded the participation of representatives from all Associations. The content of the Operational Collective Labour Convention 2024-2026 is added to the existing framework of benefits provided for by the previous ESRB. In particular, in Piraeus Bank’s new Business Contract, the main economic issues were agreed: the granting of an operating allowance of 50 euros per month for all employees who have a gross monthly salary of up to 2,500 euros, and in addition to those who do not have a voluntary salary. Granting an increase in specific roles to the Branch Network, taking into account wage criteria. Granting exceptional one-off financial aid to all employees up to the level of responsibility Director. This aid will be granted for the years 2024 and 2025. Significant increase in child care and care allowance. Aid with new benefits and benefits for family care and combating underageness. Homogenisation of the administration of the scientific allowance. Increase all loyalty benefits of child workers who excel. An increase in the Bank’s contribution to the voluntary child assistance programme, with the employee’s contribution remaining unchanged. Particular mention should be made of the significant expansion and strengthening of the medical and hospital programme, with new health coverage, which interests all workers and their families. The new agreement is the follow-up to a number of initiatives taken by the Bank to continuously improve the working environment and to recognise the contribution of its people. George Georgopoulos, Senior Director General, Chief Human Resources & Group Change Officer of Piraeus said: “The signing of the new Operational Collective Labour Convention is another step in a number of initiatives taken by the Bank in recent years in response to the expectations and needs of its employees. The Administration acknowledges that Piraeus’ positive course is the result of all work and is committed to returning to the people of the created value. The bona fide dialogue of the parties and the positive results of the negotiations that arose thanks to him, create the solid basis on which our Agency will continue its course, achieving increasingly ambitious goals.” Mr Vaios Nakos President of the Piraeus Bank Workers’ Association (SETP) stated that “Operational Convention 2024 marks the beginning of a new era for employees, both for its content and for the way in which it is achieved. The content responds to the basic expectations of workers to strengthen their economic position and purchasing power, introduces new provisions on social benefits and improves existing ones. At the same time, the group insurance programme is being restructured with substantial changes and cover for workers. Also important is the fact that for the first time in the negotiation all the Associations active in the Bank and its contents co-authored almost all of them.”
