Today (17.06.2025), a lawyer testified in the trial of Petros Philippidis, leveling accusations against the Greek Actors’ Guild (SEH) regarding their handling of complaints during the #MeToo era involving actors and directors. The witness stated that they managed several complaints against Philippidis for inappropriate behavior and communicated with SEH to inform them about these controversial incidents. The lawyer alleged that SEH pressured for these complaints to go to court, aiming for something more significant. Specifically, he mentioned that SEH attempted to consolidate the complaints, with its management already aware of them. During the testimony, tensions escalated when former SEH president Spyros Bampilas was verbally attacked by another defense witness, Giorgos Christodoulou, who was present for the psychological support of Philippidis. This led to both parties being asked to leave the courtroom. Bampilas informed the court that he received threats from Christodoulou, who reportedly said, “Do you want me to remove your immunity? Let’s talk tomorrow…” Christodoulou allegedly challenged Bampilas, saying, “Let’s talk outside.” The trial continues.
