Greek actor Petros Fylippidis continues to attend court proceedings regularly as his trial reaches its final stretch. The accused actor remains optimistic about being acquitted, according to his legal representatives. After the judicial process concludes, Fylippidis reportedly plans to give an interview addressing all aspects of the case.
Fylippidis avoided making public statements before the trial commenced, but his lawyers have conveyed his hopeful stance regarding the upcoming verdict, expected in the coming days. Defense lawyer K. Pakirtzidou expressed confidence in his innocence, stating that the testimonies from the accusers do not align with reality. She further criticized media personalities for taking sides without reviewing the full legal dossier.
“The narrative provided by the complainants is implausible,” she said. “Some journalists need to understand the importance of balance. Justice must not be a game for anyone.”
Co-defending lawyer Michalis Dimitrakopoulos added that Fylippidis believes the women were pressured into making false allegations by individuals within the Union of Greek Actors (SEH), excluding Mr. Bimbilas. Despite the damage caused to his personal and professional life, Fylippidis has no intention of pursuing legal action against the accusers.
“He lives and breathes for the verdict,” Dimitrakopoulos explained. “He hopes to be acquitted because, in the end, truth prevails over well-crafted lies. If he is convicted, it will open the door to a flood of similar accusations without objective evidence.”
The courtroom revelations have sparked debate across Greece, with many waiting anxiously for the outcome of this high-profile case.
