Shocking scenes unfolded at a poolside establishment in the northern suburbs of Attica, where a man in his sixties was caught harassing and photographing minors and young girls. The suspect, a 53-year-old foreign national, was arrested on Sunday afternoon (29.6.25), with numerous photos of children found on his mobile phone during his detention. His actions caused outrage among staff and customers alike, as this was not the first time he had attempted such behavior at the same venue.
According to the business owner, she first noticed suspicious behavior from the man on June 22 when he started taking pictures of four underage girls. She confronted him and asked him to delete the photos, which he did. However, a week later, on Sunday, he returned to the pool, ordered four beers — an odd request for one person — and continued his inappropriate behavior.
The man approached a group of girls aged between 12 and 15, taking photos while they swam. The owner intervened again, asking him to delete the images, which he did. Later, he approached some boys playing near the pool and took more covert photos. Again, the owner stopped him.
Tensions escalated further when the man dived into the pool next to a 16-year-old girl and touched her waist, causing visible discomfort. A confrontation followed, and eventually, the police were called. Upon inspecting his phone, officers discovered additional hidden photos of young women and children, including images from the previous week that he had supposedly deleted.
A female customer also came forward, stating that the man initially approached her and her friends by offering them drinks, only to later make lewd comments and secretly photograph them. When the photos were discovered, both the victims and the business owner filed official complaints.
The suspect was detained and brought before the prosecutor, while authorities continue their investigation. Security footage from the premises has been collected to better understand the full extent of his actions, and further charges may follow based on evidence recovered from his phone and witness testimonies.
The incident has sparked public outrage, prompting the business to pledge stronger security and monitoring measures, especially since many families with children frequent the venue.
