On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, the platform for issuing the Personal ID Number will launch, marking a significant change in how citizens interact with the state. The Personal ID Number will serve as a unified identification number aiming to simplify transactions between citizens and the public sector, and eventually the private sector. Currently, the issuance process is being presented in a live broadcast. The Personal ID Number is a unique identifier for every citizen, designed to replace multiple numbers currently in use, such as Tax Identification Numbers (TIN), Social Security Numbers (AMKA), and identity card numbers. This unification aims to streamline procedures and reduce bureaucracy, allowing citizens to remember just one number for all their transactions.
