Peristeri – Laurio 90-77: Western Suburbs Team Continues Playoff Hunt

The Peristeri team secured a decisive 90-77 victory over Laurio in the Play-In round of the Greek Basketball League. On Tuesday, April 1st, they will host A.E. in Thessaloniki. The winner will secure the 8th position and face the regular-season leader, Panathinaikos, in the playoffs. After a balanced first half (49-44), Peristeri took control with their dominance in rebounds (43 vs 29) and activated their defense, holding Laurio under 20 points in the third and fourth quarters. From the 30-minute mark, the home team established a safe lead (+8, 69-61), which they expanded in the final quarter to comfortably reach the final score of 90-77. Top scorer for the winners, despite Neoklis Avdala leaving due to injury in the second period, was Tobin Cabarri with 16 points. For Laurio, Vasilis Mouratou’s 20 points weren’t enough.
