Sunday evening (04.05.25) saw a dramatic spike in police activity as an armed thief managed to carry out two separate robberies within a span of just 25 minutes. The first robbery occurred at 22:15 in a betting shop located on Dodecanese Street in Peristeri, according to ERT. The unidentified intruder entered the store with his face concealed. Wielding a knife, he threatened and immobilized a 21-year-old employee before stealing €200 from the cash register. Just 25 minutes later, at 22:40, the same thief struck again, this time on Eleftheriou Venizelou Street. He immobilized a 45-year-old employee and made off with €2,000 from the till. Police investigations are currently underway to locate and apprehend the perpetrator, with officers closely examining footage from security cameras.
