Penelope Anastasopoulou: Working Professionally with Seferlis Doesn’t Excuse Others

In a recent controversial comment made in the Greek parliament, as well as her past collaboration with Marco Seferlis, Penelope Anastasopoulou spoke candidly during the morning show Breakfast@star on Wednesday (12/03/2025). She emphasized the gravity of statements aired on television and in the parliament. Referring to a prior incident where someone had referred to Stefanos Kassellakis using feminine pronouns, she expressed disappointment: ‘This shows his level of understanding and lack of empathy for others. It’s shameful.’ Regarding Dimitris Oikonomou’s statement that sparked widespread backlash, Anastasopoulou remarked that it was dangerous. She urged media companies to hire individuals with social awareness and sensitivity. ‘I’ve worked with Marco Seferlis, he is a professional, and it was a pleasure in every aspect. However, this does not negate any actions he may have taken towards others,’ she clarified.
