A fatal traffic accident occurred early this morning (11 March 2026) on the Trikala–Larissa National Highway, near the BIOSER industrial zone and in the direction of Trikala. A pedestrian was struck and killed by a truck.
According to reports from trikalaopinion.gr, the incident took place around 2:00 a.m., when visibility at the location was limited. The truck hit a man who was walking in the middle of the road. He died instantly from the impact.
Fire service units and an EKAB ambulance rushed to the scene. The ambulance transported the victim’s body to the local hospital. The deceased’s identity remains unknown, and — according to the same reports — no one has yet come forward to report him missing.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
