Police in Patras have dismantled a criminal group involved in large-scale drug trafficking. Four individuals were arrested, and authorities seized approximately five kilograms of cannabis, 943 narcotic tablets, €1,020 in cash, and a precision scale.

Arrests Linked to International Shipment

Three of the suspects were apprehended yesterday (5 March 2026) after arriving by car at a courier company in Patras to collect a package—sent from the United States and addressed to the fourth suspect. The parcel contained 3.4 kilograms of cannabis.

Following the initial arrests, officers allowed the three suspects to maintain contact with the fourth suspect as part of an ongoing operation. A meeting was arranged for him to collect the package and supply them with narcotics. Police intervened immediately upon their rendezvous, arresting the fourth individual on the spot. During the arrest, officers found and confiscated 45 grams of cannabis, €1,020, and two grams of cocaine.

Further Evidence Seized in Home Search

A subsequent search of the fourth suspect’s residence in Patras uncovered additional evidence: 1,451 grams of cannabis, 943 narcotic tablets, and a precision scale.

All four suspects are expected to appear before the Public Prosecutor of First Instance of Achaia. Investigations by the Patras Narcotics Division remain ongoing.
