Passenger Distress as Super Runner Jet Fails to Dock at Naxos Due to Strong Winds

The passenger ferry Super Runner Jet experienced difficulties approaching the port due to adverse weather conditions in the sea area, according to the Ministry of Shipping. The vessel was on a scheduled route from the port of Rafina with intermediate stops at Andros, Tinos, Mykonos, and Paros, with its final destination being Naxos. During its attempt to dock, one of the ship’s anchors detached, prompting a request for assistance from a tugboat to ensure safe mooring at the harbor. On board were 134 passengers, 5 vehicles, 1 motorcycle, and 38 crew members.
