PASOK: Sakis Arnautoglu supports Paul Geroulano: “The best option for the party’s total reinstatement”

The entire statement by Sakis Arnautoglu: “At a time of increasing inequality and socio-economic challenges, the role of the leadership of a Socialist Party such as PASOK is more important than ever and should embody the values of social justice, equality and solidarity while at the same time having the necessary qualifications to lead the party effectively and promote its agenda. Since our Movement has entered the election process, I think it is appropriate to place myself openly and without rotation. We are fortunate to have many and capable nominations. The qualifications that the leadership of a Socialist Party must possess are certainly acceptable to many different views and interpretations. However, in addition to the basic characteristics such as ideological devotion, political and communication capacity, moral integrity and commitment to social change and the implementation of socialist ideals, the leadership of a Socialist Party must have other qualifications, such as the ability to cooperate, flexibility, adaptability and empathy. It is important to stress that leadership qualifications are not static, but must evolve alongside the changes in society and politics. Weighting all the above and with absolute respect to every candidate and candidate president, I believe that Paul Geroulanos is the best choice for the total restoration of PASOK and the reconstruction of Greece. “
