The creation of a ‘Made in Greece’ ministry, which will consolidate the fragmented administrative structures for production, investments, and development, is expected to be announced today at noon (24.06.2025) by the leader of PASOK, who will speak at the Annual General Meeting of SEV members. According to sources, the main goal of Nikos Androulakis’s speech is to outline PASOK’s plan for fair, sustainable, and competitive development. ‘Our country is at a critical crossroads: either we continue trying to fix the past, or we dare to build the future. Otherwise, we risk finding ourselves as a nation with all our power factors weakened,’ Androulakis is expected to say. He will define productive reconstruction as a national goal and announce the establishment of the ‘Made in Greece’ ministry, which will consolidate the scattered administrative structures for production, investment, and development. This ministry will function as a one-stop shop, ensuring transparency and simple, fast procedures. Among other proposals, PASOK suggests reducing non-wage labor costs gradually to the European average, introducing an ‘angel visa’ for investors in research, innovation, startups, and young SMEs, and revising the tax scale to provide real wage increases. Additionally, they propose reviving collective bargaining, redefining the minimum wage through social negotiation, and transforming the Development Bank into a unified, independent development institution. Meanwhile, the leader of the official opposition remains focused on developments in the Middle East while monitoring domestic issues. Regarding the events in the Sinai Peninsula involving the Holy Monastery of St. Catherine, PASOK questioned why ND MEPs supported the €4 billion loan agreement with Egypt without pressing for clear commitments regarding the Sinai issue.
