PASAPP to National Team Players: Let’s Claim Benefits for Footballers and the Sport

A delegation from PASAPP visited the hotel where the national team is staying ahead of their match against Scotland in the Nations League playoffs. PASAPP President Giorgos Bantis and Executive General Secretary Thanos Saris met with the national team players to discuss issues concerning football and Greek footballers. Bantis expressed the faith of the Greek football family in the talent and personality of the players, emphasizing that with the international players’ support, PASAPP can claim more for their colleagues and the sport. ‘Our football has much more to offer than it currently does,’ he stated, also addressing the need for more Greeks in professional team lineups. He concluded by discussing violence in Greek society and the example players should set, wishing the internationals success in the Nations League playoffs. Bantis reiterated that this generation has both the talent and strong personalities needed to achieve goals, stressing the importance of claiming benefits not just for footballers but for the sport itself. He highlighted the necessity of advocating for more Greek footballers in team lineups and combating the myth that Greeks lack talent.
