He was defeated away with 78–70 by Zeliko Obradovic in Euroleague’s 12th race, resulting in his winning streak in the event breaking. After six series wins, Olympiacos “wounded” in Belgrade by Partizan, due to a blackout in the final quarter of the Euroleague match. The game Olympiacos started the game ideally and led by 8-0, while he also got a double digit difference in the game, since he was unstoppable in the attack, having 6/6 shots in the first minutes of the match with Partizan. The Pirates were impressive in the first period on both sides of the field, with Serbs reducing at the end to 25-16 of 10′′. However, the image changed rapidly in the second half, as Olympiacos “stuck” to the attack and found the way to the basket with difficulty, even though it fully “ruled” the rebounds, constantly ensuring second attacks. Partizan thus managed to reduce the score, but also first take the lead just before the half-time finale, which was completed with the score at 38–36 in her favor. After the rest however, Olympiacos appeared much better with his mains again on the floor. George Bartzokas’ team “locked” Partizan in his defense, accepting just 12 points in the third quarter and with Peters being unstoppable aggressively, he took a significant lead again. The Serbs thus reduced to 57-50 with a basket at the end of the year, to stay “live” in the game. More in a while…
